Plainly, and before anything else: Giverny Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.
What that means in practice
The tours listed here are sold through GetYourGuide and Viator. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator’s price, not a marked-up one.
What we are not
We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or drivers, or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.
We have no connection with the Fondation Claude Monet, the village of Giverny or any tourist office, the Palace of Versailles, any museum, or any tour or transport company.
How tours get listed
Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is a measured claim: Top rated appears only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, Best seller only on the tour with the most reviews, and Best value only on the cheapest. A platform’s own badge is not shown. Today the only badge is Best seller, on the coach half day from Porte Maillot, which has the most reviews of any tour here and is also the cheapest.
The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three kinds of day from three starts: that coach half day with the ticket and an app in the fare, a minivan of eight from avenue de Wagram with a guide in the gardens, and a private day with an art historian that collects you from your hotel.
A few operators sell the same day on more than one booking platform, under different titles and prices. Those pairs are never shown side by side, and each is described from its own listing.
Prices, ratings and how current they are
Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 28 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. A fare is shown in whole dollars, the cents dropped.
Every fare here is per person. A few need at least two travellers on the booking, and their price says so. Where a listing counts its reviews two slightly different ways, the count shown is the one its own star breakdown adds up to.
Facts about Giverny itself, such as the season, the hours, the ticket prices, the bag rule and access, come from the Fondation Claude Monet’s own pages. The museum’s come from the Musée des impressionnismes, the climate from Météo-France. Where a detail comes from a listing, such as a meeting point, a group size, an age limit or what the fare covers, it belongs to that tour.
What we deliberately do not publish
- “Wheelchair accessible” for Monet’s house. A few listings say it of their day. The Fondation says the gardens are accessible and the house is not, so no card repeats it.
- A ticket the listing does not include. Where the Monet visit appears in an itinerary but not in what the fare includes, the card says the visit is on the itinerary, never that the ticket is in the fare.
- “Skip the line” as a promise of no wait. A pre-booked ticket saves the ticket queue, not the crowd inside, and listings say you may still wait.
- Train and shuttle times. They change, and the SNCF and the shuttle publish their own.
- Dates no official source has set. No 2027 season dates, and no promise that a given flower will be out on a given day.
